What Is An API?

At SmarterQueue, you might read an article or hear us reference the term API in the context of explaining certain functionalities and limitations of social media platforms and other third-party tools.  

API stands for  Application Programming Interface 💪 

In plain English, an API is what allows applications to access data and interact with other software and operating systems 😊 

When our tech team builds and improves SmarterQueue's features, they do so in accordance with each social media platform's API rules. 

For this reason, sometimes while we may like to build a certain feature, we are limited by what Facebook, for example, allows.
