Instagram Error: (#2) Service temporarily unavailable

On September 11th 2024, we were made aware of an issue affecting Instagram carousel posts (multi-image posts). The issue was affecting all third-party tools, including SmarterQueue.

Users attempting to publish carousel posts were seeing one of the following errors:

• 500 Error: "An unexpected error has occurred. Please retry your request later."
• 400 Error: "(#2) Service temporarily unavailable."

The issue was reported by several social media tools: Meta Bug Report.

Meta has acknowledged the problem and was able to fix it. We're no longer seeing any issues.
