How Can I Check If My Content Is Balanced?

Categorizing your posts helps you to: 

• Stay organized by placing your content into themed buckets
• Auto-schedule your content, so you never have to manually schedule a post again
• Ensure you keep a mix of content so your audience stays engaged
• Get an exact balance of your content

Ever un-followed someone because it felt like they were always selling to you? Annoying isn't it! This is a great example of why you should categorize your posts. You'll never risk coming off as too 'salesy' as you'll be able to quickly monitor your self-promotional content and ensure you're not posting it too frequently! 💪

How Can I Check If My Content Is Balanced?

You can easily check if your content is balanced by monitoring your content ratios.

1. Navigate to the Posting Plan

2. Scroll past the weekly schedule to the grid below

This section displays various information about the number of Timeslots set up for your Categories and Social Profiles.

3. Use the drop-down menu to sort by various metrics. In particular, we'd like to view 'Content Ratios' 

This view shows the percentage of time your Posting Plan is currently set up to post to each Social Profile for each Category.

4. For example, here we can see that with this Posting Plan, 13% of all content posted to the Facebook Page will be about Self Promotion.     

You can use these ratios to keep track of how frequently you post about each Category topic so you can consciously avoid the pitfalls posting too much sales content and self-promotion, and ensure your social strategy has a focus for what you'll be known for! 

💡 When viewing your content ratios ask yourself, " Is this the most effective use of content across our social media profiles? Should we decrease 'Self Promotional' content and post more 'Inspiration' since that is a core pillar of our business?"

5. By monitoring your Content Ratio you can be certain your followers  (or potential customers) know exactly who you are and what you offer 😉
