How To Use Prompt Settings To Generate The Best Results With The AI Caption Writer

Customizing Your Prompt Settings

Once you've written your prompt text, the AI Caption Writer allows you to customize your settings for the prompt:

Tone Of Voice

By default, the AI Caption Writer will generate captions with a Neutral tone of voice. That's not to say the results will be dry and boring - often you'll get captions with enthusiasm and exclamation marks!

If you want the caption to have a specific tone of voice, you may wish to select one from over 40 presets that we've provided, including "Funny", "Informative", "Professional", and "Trustworthy".

These are a great way of making sure your captions match your brand's own style and voice, as well as injecting some variety into your captions.

Here are some examples of what you may expect for a basic prompt, with a profile selected: "Write a social media post about cats"

  • Neutral: Cats are the purr-fect companions! They provide us with love, entertainment, and endless amounts of cuddles. Who else agrees that life is just better with a feline friend by your side?
  • Assertive: Cats are the superior pet, let's be honest. With their graceful movements, hilarious antics, and purrfect cuddles, they have us wrapped around their little paws. Who else agrees that cats rule the world?
  • Caring: Feeling so grateful for the love and companionship that cats bring into our lives. Their playful antics and purring snuggles always brighten my day. Let's give our feline friends some extra cuddles today
  • Coarse: Cats are the boss. They do what they want, when they want. No one tells them what to do. If you can't handle their independent spirit, then you ain't ready for the cat life.
  • Curious: What's with cats and their obsession with cardboard boxes? Anyone care to enlighten me?
  • Ecstatic: Oh my gosh, I just can't get enough of these furry purr machines! Cats are the best thing ever! From their playful antics to their calming purrs, they always bring a smile to my face
  • Funny: Why do cats make terrible comedians? Because they always paws for too long before delivering their punchline.
  • Motivating: Get ready to pounce into your day with some feline inspiration! Whether they're lounging in the sun or saving the world from mice, cats remind us to stay curious, adventurous, and never take ourselves too seriously.
  • Nostalgic: Remember when cats ruled the internet? Every video, meme, and GIF had a feline star. Maybe it’s time we bring back the classics and show some love to our furry friends. Who’s with me?
  • Pessimistic: Ugh, cats. Always scratching up furniture, knocking things over, and demanding attention. And yet, somehow the internet is obsessed with them. What's the deal?
  • Provocative: Attention all dog lovers, I have an important announcement to make...CATS ARE THE SUPERIOR PET. They're independent, graceful, and have the power to melt even the coldest of hearts. Who's with me? #CatsRule #SorryNotSorry #TeamFluffy

If you don't see a specific tone of voice that you're looking for, you can select the "Neutral" tone, and try adding your own instruction in your prompt:

e.g. "Write a social media post about cats. Write in a childish tone of voice."

This may result in a caption like this: "Meow! I love cats so much! They're soft and cuddly and always make me smile What's your favorite thing about cats?"

Hashtags

If you want AI Caption Writer to include a number of hashtags in your caption, you can select to add 1, 3, or 30 hashtags in your generated captions. While the The AI Caption Writer is great with text, it isn't always perfect at counting, so you may find the exact number of hashtags doesn't always match your request.

As a general tool, it's great for adding a couple of hashtags to a Tweet, vs adding 30 hashtags to an Instagram post, and having no hashtags for Facebook.

By default, "No Hashtags" is selected - indicating that you just want a plain caption written, without any hashtags.

However, depending on which platform(s) you have selected, the AI may occasionally include hashtags as part of the generated caption. This will most frequently happen with Twitter and Instagram profiles. SmarterQueue's AI Caption Writer will do its best to remove these hashtags before showing you the captions, but it will keep any hashtags that were included as part of the meaning of a sentence (e.g. "We think #cats make the best #pets"). While there's no harm in leaving hashtags in a social media post (they're there for a reason!), you may prefer not to use any hashtags. As a result, you should always check the generated captions carefully; you'll be able to edit the text once you've added the AI-generated caption(s) to your post text; or you can simply click Re-generate and get another caption.

e.g. "Write a social media post about cats" as the prompt, with an Instagram profile selected, and "30 Hashtags" selected:

Check out my cute kitty! #catsofinstagram #catstagram #catlovers #catlife #instacats #kittycat #kittylove #catoftheday #kitten #cats_of_instagram #meow #purrfect #petstagram #feline #ilovecats #kitty #catsofworld #adoptdontshop #cutecats #cat_features #catphotography #lovecats #caturday #catsofig #mypet #catgram #catobsessed #catlover #catfamily #catcountry #cat_enthusiast

Emojis

Similar to how hashtags work, you can ask the AI Caption Writer to include or exclude emojis from the generated captions. Sometimes the AI will include emojis as part of the generated caption, and if you select "No emojis", SmarterQueue's AI Caption Writer will do its best to remove these emojis before showing you the captions.

The AI will come up with relevant emojis related to your caption. These emojis may appear anywhere within the caption:

e.g. "Write a social media post about cats" as the prompt, with an Instagram profile selected, and "Add Emojis" selected:

🐱😻 Calling all #catlovers! Who else thinks that cats make the world a better place? 🌎🌟 There's nothing quite like the purr of a happy feline. Whether they're chasing lasers, napping in a sunbeam, or rubbing their faces against your leg, cats bring so much joy to our lives. 🌞🐾 And let's not forget how they keep us on our toes with their playful antics and mischievous behavior! πŸ™€πŸ€ͺ So, here's to all the furry friends who make our days brighter and our hearts fuller. ❀️ Let's give our cats some extra love today! πŸ˜½πŸ’•

The AI Caption Writer is so smart and creative, that you can try some clever things with emojis:

e.g. "Describe the Back to the Future movie using only 20 emojis, and no text." as the prompt, with "Add Emojis" selected: πŸš˜β°πŸ”₯πŸ‘΄πŸ»πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸ§‘πŸΌπŸ¦³πŸ’₯πŸ•°οΈπŸ•°οΈπŸ’₯πŸŽοΈπŸ’¨πŸ’πŸ’‘πŸŽΈπŸŽ€πŸ•ΊπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ πŸŒ…

Variations

By default, the AI Caption Writer will generate one caption at a time. You can change this, and get up to 20 captions generated at a time.

There are two main benefits from generating multiple variations:

  1. You can see multiple generated captions together, and then choose your favorite caption(s) to use in your post
  2. You can easily add lots of text variations to your post, allowing you to recycle a post for weeks/months, and having a unique caption each time.

All generated captions will be selected (checkboxes ticked) by default. This means you can click the button at the bottom to add all selected caption as text Variations.

If there are any captions you don't want to add, you can uncheck them before adding all remaining selected captions.

Alternatively, you can click "Add to Post" for each individual caption that you wish to add to your post.
