What Do I Do If My Twitter Account Is Locked?

You've Been Locked Out Because Of A Violation Of The Twitter Rules Or Terms Of Service
Twitter may lock an account or place temporary limitations on certain account features if an account appears to be in violation of the Twitter Rules or Terms of Service.
This is often due to an exaggerated change in posting behaviour on the platform which can trigger Twitter's AI tool that works to detect spam and automated accounts.

If you log in or open your app and see a message that your account is locked or that some of your account features have been limited, follow the instructions to restore your account.
Check your email as Twitter will generally notify you by email of steps you must take to unlock your account 👍
If you receive another notification that you've been locked out of Twitter, please reduce your posting through SmarterQueue then gradually increase your number of posts back to your desired amount over the course of several weeks to prevent being flagged as a spam/automated account.
