How To Solve Common Twitter Error Messages

Here's how to resolve these issues easily 🤓


Missing Required Parameter: Status 

The tweet is empty. 

🛠To resolve: Add text to the tweet.


No Status Found with that ID 

The tweet that you included a reply or retweeted no longer is at this location (if it existed, it was probably deleted). 

🛠To resolve: Simply remove the post that references the deleted tweet.


Tweet needs to be a bit shorter

Your tweet needs to be 280 characters, less if you include a link or an image. 

🛠To resolve: Try shortening your text a bit and then retry.


Twitter media upload failed: invalid API response

Twitter did not receive the image or video that you uploaded, possibly due to a server or network traffic error. 

🛠To resolve: Simply retry the post at a different time.


Invalid or expired token

You have been logged out of Twitter. 

🛠To resolve: Re-login, then re-authorise your Twitter profile in SmarterQueue and try again.


Internal error 

Twitter has had some type of unspecified error on its end. 

🛠To resolve: Retry the post. If this persists, try logging out of Twitter and disconnecting from your SmarterQueue profile, then re-login to Twitter and re-connect Twitter in your profile.

Twitter has misidentified your Tweet as a spam posting. 

🛠To resolve: Rewrite your post and try again a little later. If this continues to occur, you may need to file a support request with Twitter and/or wait a few days and try again.


Image file size must be <= 5242880 bytes

Your image needs to be resized or lessened in resolution to create a smaller file size. 

🛠To resolve: Resize your image and retry the tweet with the updated image.


Image dimensions must be >= 4x4 and <= 8192x8192

Your image needs to be resized to be uploaded to Twitter.
