Using Seasonal Categories

Setting up Seasonal Categories are great if you're running a seasonal promotion or if you are marketing your posts during a certain time of year. For example, if you own an e-commerce business and want to run a Summer campaign you can set the dates for the beginning of Summer until the end of Summer.
The Seasonal Category will become inactive at the Category's end date and the posts in that Category will no longer be published. You will still have access to the Category and be able to view Past Posts within the Queue.

How To Filter Seasonal Posts In The Queue

If you'd like to see your seasonal posts, whether or not the Category is in or out of season, you can filter your Queue by following these steps:
  • Navigate to your Queue inside your SmarterQueue dashboard

  • On the left, you will see a filter pane where filters can be added or removed
  • If a Seasonal Category is inactive it will be marked as 'Hidden' and you will see red text below the 'Show Inactive Categories' button. After clicking this button, you will be able to view your Seasonal Categories
  • If you want to hide your seasonal categories click 'Hide Inactive Categories'

  • If you click the Seasonal Category in the filter pane, you will be able to see the posts that are in the Queue for that Category
