How To Use Links With The Bulk Importer

Bulk Importing allows you to add a lot of content to your Queue quickly. This is why it's important to check your settings and ensure that links are handled the way you would like. 💪

How Do I Attach An Image From Each Linked Web Page?

In the top row of the Bulk Import screen, you’ll find a drop-down menu with options for adding images (Add Images, Existing Images, Remove Images).

The default value is Existing Images – this means that any link posts that don’t have an image showing in the bulk importer will show a Link Preview (if configured by that website).

All other posts with an image will have the image attached.

If you choose 'Add Images', it will attempt to attach an image to any link posts that don’t already have an image showing in the bulk importer. This will usually be the primary image from the link, and will replace any link previews.

If you choose 'Remove Images', all existing images in the bulk importer will be removed, and link posts will then show the Link Preview (if configured by that website).

If you'd like to change the default value, head over to your Settings.

How Do I Edit The Bitly Settings?

Make sure you have a Bitly account connected, and your Settings have Link Tracking turned on.

You can add one or more Bitly accounts from the Profiles page.

At the bottom of the Find Content screen you’ll see an 'Import Options' button.

This lets you edit the Bitly Link Tracking settings.

If your posts show "no link tracking", it's because Bitly link tracking is turned off, or else you’ve disabled it in your 'Link Tracking Settings.'

How Do I Edit The Google Analytics UTM Settings?

This should be turned on by default, unless you’ve changed your Settings.

At the bottom of the Find Content screen you’ll see an 'Import Options' button.

This will allow you to turn UTM tracking 'on' or 'off', as well as customize the UTM parameters.
