📹 How To Publish Instagram Video Posts

There's nothing like captivating video content to engage your audience! 📹 Publishing video posts via SmarterQueue will depend on the size of your video and the type of Instagram Profile you're using. 

You'll be able to auto-publish a short-form video post (less than 60 seconds) to your Feed, on your Instagram Business Profile easily by following these steps

Publishing the same short-form video on your  Personal or Media Creator Instagram Profile, as well as any other type of video post, like longer-form video (1 minute - 15 minutes) and reels for all types of Instagram Profiles, we'll require the SmarterQueue Mobile App

How To Create Your Video Post In SmarterQueue

PLEASE NOTE: Before you get started creating video posts, you'll need to first download the latest version of the SmarterQueue Mobile App, for your iOS or your Android device.

1. Click 'Create a Post' to open the Post Editor.

2. Next, choose a Category.

3. Then select the Instagram Profile you'd like to create a post for.

Note: In this example, we selected an Instagram Personal profile, which is why we're unable to see the profile picture. Read more about the benefits of switching to and using an Instagram Business profile

4. Write your caption in the text box.

5. Then add your video by dragging it onto the screen or clicking the camera icon under 'Media' to select a file to upload. You'll see an hourglass icon instead of your video until you save the post and let the video load. 

💡 REELS: If you're creating a Reel Post, make sure to switch the Instagram Post Type from Feed to Story Creating a specific Reel post is not yet possible due to limitations from Instagram, but using the Story workflow will allow you to schedule your content and then redirect it to Reels later on in the publishing process. 

Note: You can schedule several different types of posts to your Instagram Personal Profile including single-image posts, multi-image carousel posts, and stories

6. Select your Post Timing and Evergreen Post Recycling options, then click Save to add your Post to your Queue. 💪

Note: The video will start processing after you save the post. If you want to send the post now, you will still need to first save it to the Queue or as a Draft, allow the video time to process, and then edit the post to publish right away. 


How To Publish Your Video Post Via The iOS Mobile App

You can easily finish up publishing your video post on Instagram, via the SmarterQueue Mobile App. As an iOS user, you'll need to follow these quick steps for each type of video post:

Feed Post

1. Download the latest version of the SmarterQueue Mobile App for iOS, make sure you log into your SmarterQueue account and that notifications are enabled.

2. When it's time to post, you’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device.

3. Please make sure you’re logged into the correct Instagram profile on the Instagram App, then open the notification on your iPhone 💪

Alternatively, if you ever miss a notification, you can open the SmarterQueue app and select the post from the top of the notification list.

4. You'll see a preview of your post with your caption and can click to play the video. Tap 'Post To Instagram' to continue.

The caption will be automatically copied. 

Note: If you selected the Story post type to schedule a Reel, check out the additional steps for creating a Reel post.

5. You'll be redirected to the Instagram App and see your video automatically open. Select 'Feed' to continue.

6.  Ensure your video is selected in the Instagram App, then follow these steps to crop your it, apply filters, trim, etc. Click 'Next' in the top right corner to move forward.

7. Your caption is already copied to your clipboard so simply long tap into the caption field of Instagram, select paste and your caption will appear!

If you’d like, add a location or any other information and tags to your post.

8. Once you're happy with your post, tap ‘Share’ on the bottom and it will load to Instagram. 

9. Congratulations, your finished video post is now live on your Instagram Feed! ✨

Reel Post

1. When it's time to post, you’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device. Tap the notification to open your SmarterQueue Mobile App. 

2. You'll see a preview of your post. Tap 'Post To Instagram' to continue. You'll be redirected to the Instagram App. 

The video file will be saved to your Camera Roll, and the caption will be automatically copied. 

3. You'll be redirected to the Instagram App to choose between a 'Story' or 'Feed' post. You'll need to press the "x" in the upper-left corner to exit. 

 4. Reopen the Instagram App and press on the "+" sign to create a new Reel post. 

5. This will open your Camera in the Instagram App, to get you started in creating your new Reel. Select the Camera Roll icon on the bottom-left corner. 

6. Once in the Camera Roll, you can open the saved video and start working on your amazing Reel post. 

Moving forward you'll have a lot of great editing options at your disposal to create your Reel. You'll still find your caption on the clipboard to paste in where needed. ✨


How To Publish Your Video Post Via The Android Mobile App

To finish up publishing your video post on Instagram, you'll need to use the SmarterQueue Mobile App. If you're an Android user, this is easily done by following these steps for each type of video post:

Feed Post

1. Download the latest version of the SmarterQueue Mobile App for Android and make sure you log into your SmarterQueue account (notifications should be enabled by default).

2. When it's time to post, you’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device.

3. Please make sure you’re logged into the correct Instagram profile on the Instagram App, then open the notification on your phone 💪

Alternatively, if you ever miss a notification, you can open the SmarterQueue app and select the post from the top of the notification list.

4. You'll see a preview of your post. Tap 'Post To Instagram' to continue. You'll be redirected to the Instagram App. 

The caption will be automatically copied. 

Note: If you selected the Story post type to schedule a Reel, check out the additional steps for creating a Reel post

5. Follow the steps in the Instagram App to crop your video, apply filters, trim, etc. 
6. Your caption is already copied to your clipboard so simply long tap into the caption field of Instagram. Depending on your device, you will either see a text bubble within your keyboard or a 'paste' option. Either way, you'll be able to paste your caption in! 

If you’d like, add a location or any other information and tags to your post.

7. Once you're happy with your post, click on the 'checkmark' icon in the upper right-hand corner to finish posting to Instagram.

8. Congratulations, your finished video post is now live on your Instagram Feed! ✨

Reel Post

1. When it's time to post, you’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device. Tap the notification to open your SmarterQueue Mobile App. 

2. You'll see a preview of your post. Tap 'Post To Instagram' to continue. You'll be redirected to the Instagram App. 

The video file will be saved to your Gallery, and the caption will be automatically copied. 

3. You'll be redirected to the Instagram App to create your Story post. You'll need to press the "x" in the upper-left corner to exit. 

This step could send you outside of the Instagram App. No worries, the video is still saved to your Gallery, while the caption is still in your clipboard. 

4. Reopen the Instagram App and press on the "+" sign to create a new Reel post. 

5. This will open your Camera in the Instagram App, to get you started in creating your new Reel. Select the Gallery icon on the bottom-left corner. 

6. Once in the Gallery, you can open the saved video and start working on your amazing Reel post. 

Moving forward you'll have a lot of great editing options at your disposal to create your Reel. You'll still find your caption on the clipboard to paste in where needed. ✨
